Warner Music Group has selected the company to manufacture its CDs in the U.S.

Sonopress lets the music play

Following its successful production of Warner Music Group’s physical catalogue for Europe and Asia, Sonopress has been enlisted to manufacture CDs for the company’s U.S. market as well.

“Warner Music Group has been one of our key customers in the CD segment for many years,” says Sonopress Managing Director Sven Deutschmann. “The fact that we will now be working for this renowned company in the world’s largest media market as well makes us proud, while also serving as further proof of our internationally recognized industry expertise.”

Salvatore Monteleone, Executive Vice President of Global Operations at Warner Music Group, said: “We have known Sonopress for many years as a reliable and highly efficient service provider, and we’re happy to partner with them to offer a sustainable supply of CDs for our music fans in North America.“

Under the new agreement, Sonopress will be responsible for the production and fulfillment of WMG’s entire CD business in the USA, from disc manufacture to the print production process, through to picking and packing. The storage media will be produced at the company’s headquarters in Gütersloh while assembly with print products of the finished goods will carried through in the U.S.

Said Deutschmann: “This so-called ‘hybrid model’, which we have already successfully implemented for major customers in the music, movie and gaming industries, will help us to deliver tailor-made solutions in proven Sonopress quality for Warner Music Group as well.”
